Happy half-term! Take a look at these Superheroes from last week.
Our Y1 children enjoyed a Superhero’s day when they came to school in their favourite Superhero costumes and showed their creative flair making hero costumes for wooden spoons – we even saw Mrs Gordon parading in a cape! We have been practising our superhero poses too! Mrs Jackson loves her ‘Superhero Spoon’ and would like to say thank you to the children for making it for her.
Year 3 have been reading “The Midnight Man” by Berlie Doherty with our penpals in Mrs Hassall’s class 3H at Woodfall Primary School.
Have a listen to us singing a song that Mr Woods wrote about the book.
Year 3 had a special visitor this morning to help us with our history topic. We were asking the question “how do we find out about the past?” and our site manager Mr Lister came in to tell us about his hobby of metal detecting.
He brought some cases of his finds, including a Bronze Age axe head and Roman coins and we even got to do some metal detecting ourselves.
